| 36th International Theatre Festival The Biennale di Venezia has
become in years a reference
point not only for visual
arts, but for performing arts
as well, and La Bennale
Theatre is the clear
demonstration of this, mixing
with the city's very soul in
a series of performances that
often entangle with the main
events in Venice. In 2006, in
association with the City of
Venice and its Department of
Culture, it participated in
the Carnival, with an
independent program of
experimentation conceived by
Maurizio Scarparro. http://www.labiennale.org/en/theatre - [ Google PageRank: not actived ][ Last update: 2006-05-10 ] |

| Theatre La Fenice Teatro La Fenice was named
after the mythical bird that
is always reborn from its own
ashes, the Phoenix, because
just like the Phoenix,
despite being destroyed by
fire many times, it has
always been rebuilt. In 2003
the theatre has been
reopened, after being rebuilt
one more time “like it was
before, where it was before”.
Today it is the first theatre
in Venice, hosting the
lyrical season, and gathering
Opera lovers and
personalities from all over
the world. http://www.teatrolafenice.it - [ Google PageRank: not actived ][ Last update: 2006-05-10 ] |

| Theatre Murata Teatro della Murata is a
small theatrical hall,
sitting about 70 people, made
from an old warehouse in the
historical center of Mestre,
attached to the remaining
pieces of the ancient city
walls. Since 1970, the
opening year, Teatro della
Murata has been a place of
experimentation, giving space
to new tendencies for theatre
and to representations of
plays, and actors, that
couldn't find space
elsewhere, despite being high-
quality projects. It is the
seat of Officina del Teatro,
a didactic experience
involving both young people
